Kythan: Against the Goblins, Surprise Round

These barbarians don't deserve any salvation; I wonder what the Heretic of Corellon sees in these humans.

Kythan thought to himself as he accompanied his prisoner into the glasswork factory. It was supposed to be an easy assignment, capture Guillaume the Heretic and redeem his honor among the Lords of Kyonin. But the Heretic was smarter and more devious than what he expected.

Kythan never imagined that the priest would have allies among these lesser creatures. Trust a heretic evangelize the inferior and less enlightened. Who are these people in Corellon's s eyes but tiny specks of dust in his grand palace?

As soon as the group entered the glass factory, the Paladin of Pelor took it upon himself to lead the group. Normally, Kythan would object to have a bastard half-breed order a trio of eladrin around like petty servants. But then he was with lesser beings, and the two other eladrins were as ignorant as the savages of this pathetic town.

"Sir Enforcer," the dragon-born addressed him with a tone of reverence. "As you are technically not a member of our party, you are free to do what you wish. But we would request the aid of your strong warrior arm for this endeavour."

At least this creature knows his place, Kythan smiled with a smug on his face.

"We will see," the enforcer replied as he readied his mystical blade.

The other eladrin known as Gryffin stretched out his arms and began a silent chant, in preparation for his arcane envocation. Kythan observed the young wizard perform the spell trance and evoke the power. A rather sloppy amateur, the enforcer noted, lacking the proper training and education. He had encountered and fought talented eladrin magicians. This Gryffin has the potential, but was sadly misguided. Which bloodline did this startup belong to? Should he likewise bring this deserter back to Kyonin?

Before the wizard could begin his incantation, the human woodsmen kicked open the doors and began his attack. Kythan was taken aback by the scent of decay inside the room. His companions hardly noticed the stench of cadavers inside.

Let's end this battle, Kythan noted to himself. The sooner this goblin threat ends, the sooner he gets the heretic back home. And I might as well bring the wizard along.

The dragon born made a salute to Pelor as he charged into the room. Kythan followed behind him, using the paladin's bulky frame to shield himself from the goblin's attacks. He could sense the wizard's magic enveloping the room, overpowering their enemies with a powerful fae enchantment.

Kythan slipped pass the paladin, moving close to the center of the room. The woodman's arrows struck true, killing two of the monsters near the door. He likewise noted the dragonborn felling another one not far.

They are… capable. Kythan noted, taking gauge of his companions. The enforcer then focused on his will, imagining it as a powerful weapon of justice. The mystical blade on his hands burned brightly with a green flame.

"No!" Guillaume screamed at the sight of the dead townsfolk. No self respectinng eladrin would care less for these lesser creatures, Kythan thought. The Heretic must be brought back to Kyonin and be purified once again.

A lone goblin stood in front of Kythan's way. The creature had not expected the attack and was fumbling for its spear. Kythan raised his burning sword and thrust it onto the creature's chest.

OOC: Great post. Did a few modifications on the dialogue but I like the personality Kythan is turning into.
