The door to the room is closed. Gryffin had earlier picked the lock to this room, and there was no key found, so it may just be swung closed rather than locked.
Arao reaches for the door and notices two long scored marks on the outside of the door. As he leans against the door it moves open an inch, as if pushed by his weight, before being pushed shut again.
The two marks the paladin found look like long finger nail scratches, but they are deep into the wood, and no human hand could do that damage to a wooden door.
Someone appears to be behind the door keeping it shut.

question: do npc also get the death saving throws when their hp drop to zero? (meaning they don't die immediately...)
my plan of action (other suggestions appreciated):
gryffin, switch places w/ guy. i will force the door open w/ strength. lloyd please back me up (aid another).
gryffin, when the door swings open, cast a thunderwave w/ burst origin at the square behind the door. if it hits that should push back anything behind the door.
lloyd, guy and i will rush in. guy will heal any injured (fallen) npc he sees (to stabilize them from dying). lloyd and i will mark and engage any hostiles inside. jarek and gryffin move behind us and snipe from there.
if you have any other suggestions, plz feel free to comment.
OOC: question: do npc also get the death saving throws when their hp drop to zero? (meaning they don't die immediately...)
I have to say no. An NPC dies when he reaches zero hp. BUT a PC can always attack and state that he wants the attack to not be lethal (to everyone targeted by that attack - can't choose who gets lethal and who gets non-lethal).
OOC: I've giving this plan 24 hours (1PM tom) for additional comments/suggestions. If there aren't any, I'll assume this is the final action.
OOC: Due to lack of IC posts, do I assume the PCs are trying to hush their voices so that their plan cannot be heard from the other room?
Please email me your Initiative rolls (I'd roll for them if I don't receive them by the next post).
Initiative roll.
