Kythan: Against the Goblins, Round 03

Kythan moved swiftly into the battle. He continued to swing his flaming sword in an unending graceful arc while again found its target a low roar sounding from it as it burns thru the air.

Emerald flames leapt from the eraldrin’s sword as he cut into the two goblins beside him, felling one and seriously injuring the other.

Chuff smiled as it saw the door start to decay. It then ordered his minion to charge the door down. The minion did so and the double doors fell open as the small goblin body crashed thru it. The goblin followed his minion into the vexing cloud wary of any enemies within it.

From behind the table, Gryffin saw the goblin minion pass. “C’mon! C’mon!” The eladrin silently muttered to himself as he tried to remain hidden. A few seconds later, a second set of legs appeared along with and the unmistakable sounds of clicks of bone and beads. “That has to be the hexer.”

Gryffin stood up from where he was hiding and quickly uttered the spell which sent both goblins flying into the now open furnace door.

The goblin hexer suddenly found itself and its cohort blasted from where they were by a great force and forcefully sent flying into the furnace. Chuff screamed as the intense heat of the furnace razed thru its leather robes and horribly burned the goblin flesh beneath it. Its companion was silent however, dead from the blast of the spell even before it hit the furnace. As the force of the wave passed, the goblin hexer managed to step away from the furnace.

Guillaume steeled himself as he waited for the goblins to burst thru the door. He was momentarily surprised as one moment they were rushing him and in the next they were flying towards the open furnace. A horrible goblin shriek erupted from with the furnace and a second later a horribly burnt figure stepped out. The image was so horrifying for the cleric that he momentarily lost focus on the task he was to perform

* * *

Chuff hurt as he burned! Half of its body had burns. Stepping out from the furnace, he came directly into view with the caster of the spell.

“O!” The goblin shouted as he spotted Gryffin from behind the table.

“O mor ghaan! Khruul o huul!” The hexer cursed as he sends dark violet energy towards the wizard. Gryffin tried to set up a defense but the goblin's hex reached him before he could; shooting pain within the eladrin's body before concentrating in his eyes effectively blinding him.

OOC: Stealth rules after an attack:

Don’t Attack: If you attack, you don’t remain hidden.

Not Remaining Hidden: If you take an action that causes you not to remain hidden, you retain the benefits of being hidden until you resolve the action. You can’t become hidden again as part of that same action.

OOC: Error on map - Gryffin should have taken 5 less damage and thus is not bloodied.

eeek..can I still use an action point right after I hit the goblin with Thunderwave?

I was actually thinking of blasting him again further into the furnace or trying Eyebite....

Sorry, but you can't. You can only spend an action point during your turn. When Gryffin casted the Thunderwave spell, it is the Goblin Hexer's turn, not his turn. Thus he cannot spend an action point.

Sorry, but you can't.

But then again, if the action point was used in Gryffin's round, and a standard action to ready another action was the purpose, I can consider that. Send me a new post (and the rolls for it) so that I can edit the previous one.

fyi, there are no penalties to aoe attacks by concealment (i.e. blinded).

Thanks for the info, Chris...although I'm more annoyed na naunahan ako nung Goblin sa vision affecting spell...dapat sinabi ko na sa start..hehe..am thinking of sticking to what happened na lang kaya, kasi baka masira momentum ng game...And yung drama ng bloodied ako at bulag with just one spell is um..dramatic...hehe...sheesh I knew their spells were nasty.=p

..nuninuninuninu

OOC: Either way works for me coz we're still finishing Jarek and tsuto's actions. We're resolving some immediate reaction actions muna. Di naman affected yung arcane duel nina Gryffin and the Hexer.

@gryffin: np. for aoe spells, u only have to know the general location of the target, and hope for the best sa roll mo. :D

Gryffin said...

hmmm..ano actions nung goblin Hexer? Nag-minor action ba siya to get out of the furnace? If he did, dispelled na pala yung "Vexing Cloud" niya.

Minor action to sustain it eh.

OOC: The goblin just finished his move action after Gryffin's spell interrupted it.
