A Town in Turmoil

Arao and Gryffin helped their friend out the back door of Ven's shop. The dragonborn tried to ignore the stabbing pain on his arms and feet. The goblin shaman's hex magic still hingered like an early morning hangover.

"Did you put out the fire you summoned?" He asked the eladrin wizard.

Gryffin nodded as he dragged Lloyd out of the back door. "You feeling better?"

Lloyd nodded. "Yes, I just need to catch my breath."

Before Gryffin could answer, Arao nudged him aside and began looking at Lloyd's wounds. The dragonborn was thankful that he spent a year learning herbalism and medicine from the monastery. He remembered the monks' lessons on anatomy. This young man was lucky, he thought, only a few cuts and burns. Humanoid bodies are weak and frail, the paladin mused. How could they managed to have survive this long?

Though the half-elf seemed to be knowledgable and able of taking care of his own wounds, he was still more weak than what he claims to be. Just as the dragonborn finished applying some green poultice on Lloyd's burnt skin, Jarek emerged from the alley. The young woodsman was sprinting towards them, as if he was running away from someone. Gryffin waved at his friend, assuring him that everyone is doing fine.

"There are still a lot of goblins," Jarek reported. He looked at Gryffin and saw a familiar looking rod tucked on the young wizard's belt. "What are you doing with that thing?"

Gryffin brought out the ugly wooden bone and showed it off. "Took it from the goblin shaman," he answered proudly. "Hopefully I can figure out how it works."

"You better be careful with that," Jarek answered. His eyes widening with suspicion. "That thing nearly blinded me."

"Comrade at arms!" Another familiar voice echoed across the street.

The companions turned and saw Guy walking towards them. The eladrin priest looked tired and worried. "Master Avertin!" Guy shouted. "Sage Quink is looking for you. He's with Father Zanthus."

The cleric of Corellon looked at his friends and saw the weariness and exhaustion in their faces. He whispered a silent prayer, asking his god to bless them and grant them courage in this moment of trial.

sigh here comes the peace beatnik guy again... there really is no rest for the good guys. i'll take two fast-acting alaxans (i.e. healing surge) to get sooth my aching muscles and be ready to go to this kobold sage in a moment's notice.

** i should have 9 healing surges left (? plz confirm). my hp bar should be full or near full.

** lintek ang tagal nmn ng cooldown ng major skillz ko amf.

hey dm, do we regain an action point now? if not, how can we? (halatang asar pa rin, kc minor lng ang dragonbreath amf!!!)

OOC: Action points are regained at either an adventure milestone (which we still haven't arrived to) or when the characters get an extended rest (which they still haven't).

OOC: Allan, thanks for the entry. I'm giving Jarek enough xp to level up ahead of the other characters. Please email me the adjustments (hp, new powers, retraining, feats, that will be added to his character stats)
