Like its companion, the other goblin sharpshooter was taken aback when the dog fell to the human's arrows. It also knows that Gwag will not be happy and that the intruders seemed to be more powerful than they have originally anticipated. It even contemplated on running.
Unlike it's companion, however, this one still hasn't been harmed in the conflict and has successfully hurt the offending human with each of its shots. It gambles its decision on it's next attack and thus reloads his crossbow and shoots.
The bolt once more finds its target and so the goblin stays to continue its fight.
