The goblin sharpshooter was taken aback when the dog fell to the human's arrows. Gwag will not be happy. The intruders seemed to be more powerful than they have originally anticipated. The goblin reloaded his crossbow. Two of the longshanks were using magic against them and those two were in his sights. So he took aim at the less armored of those two.
Volioker rubbed his bruised forehead and wondered where he was. He picked himself up from the alley floor and was trying to clean himself off when he remembered where he was. Looking up from the barrels around he he saw two of the seven goblins which attacked him earlier. Strangely, they weren't focused on him but on something else further up the alley. The dwarf squinted, trying to make sense of what he saw and finally recognized his son Gryffin amongst others.
"Gry's here to save me."
A sense of pride blossomed in the dwarf's heart but was quickly crushed as he saw the closest of the gobilns take aim at Gryffin.
"I have to do something." The locksmith grumbled to himself.
With a huff, Vlioker ran as quickly as he could and bull rushed the goblin just as it was about to fire the crossbow. Angered, the goblin dropped its crossbow and drew its shortsword and struck at the dwarf.
Blood oozed out of a cut on the dwarf's midsection and Volioker once more collapsed on the alley floor.
