Gryffin: Die Dog Die, Round 01

Kill the dwarf and the weak longshank then the rest of you follow
me!

"Dwarf?..." Gryffin thought and his heart began to race.

"Could they mean Lio?"

Suddenly he's taken by surprise as a large snarling wolf ridden by a rather tough looking goblin weilding a large axe charged out the alley.

Gaping jaws and gleaming axe we're met by a shield blow from Lloyd who managed to push back both wolf and rider.

Gryffin crouched low hoping he was yet to be noticed, he took a few steps forward and tried to peer into the alley, looking just above and beyond the wolf.

On the other end of the alley stood a dwarf. His brightly colored clothes were stained with dirt and blood.

"Gods!!! What's Lio doing out here?" Gryffin thought.

His eyes darted to and fro, trying to get a bearing on the number of goblins threatening his adopted father.

"Gods1 What do I do? I only have one shot..."

His eye catches on a stack of barrels beside a row of goblins.

"...I hope this works..."

Gryffin's body hunched as he suddenly seemed to be trying to crush a ball of light in both hands. Gryffin drew back as the orb of light gave a crackle. Then with a cry, He cast the orb forward..."Had-do-Ken!!!"

The sphere of energy hits the barrel. Shards of spell energy and wood shower the goblins around it.

Two of the goblins fall down dead from both the force of the spell and the wooden explotion. One of the goblins, however, was able to take cover from the remaining rain barrels and thus escaped the attack. It snarls at the new attacker and carefully takes aim.
