"We must go back!" I shouted as I ran. I didn't realized that I went pass my companions, running from one end of the corridor to the other. "These creatures are too powerful."
Guy caught hold of my shoulder, pulling me back. I was amazed at the strength of the priest. I always thought eladrins to be frail creatures. But Guy's grip was strong and held me on the ground. "We can't leave yet."
"Didn't you see what they did to me?" I spat out, my voice reaching a high pitch.
"We need to defeat these abominations," Gryffin added. The wizard came rushing out of the darkness and threw a magical incantation at the nearby sinspawn.
"You guys can do that," I muttered. "I want to get out of here alive."
I tried squirming out of Guy's grip, but the priest continued to hold my arm. "The paladin needs you," he said. "We need you."
I looked over Arao's direction and saw the paladin bravely fighting the three monsters alone. Lloyd quickly ran towards the holy warrior's side, attempting to even the odds. But the creatures continued their relentless assault.
"Damn dragonborn!" I cursed, drawing out my long bow. "Damn half-elf!"
I fired two shots at the neartest sinspawn. My arrows found their mark, striking into the creature's leathery flesh. The monster recoiled from the force of my missles, but I wasn't sure if it caused it any pain.
"We should fall back," I stressed again. "I don't want to die here!"
