Gryffin: Into the Jaws of Darkness, Round 04

Gryffin heard Jarek's rumbling.

"What's eating him?" He wondered.

Thoughts of their encounter with Tsuto and how Tsuto and Jarek have a lot of things in common fluttered through Gryffin's mind.

For a moment he considered keeping a close eye on his friend in case he snapped like Tsuto did. Then he remembered, unlike Tsuto who tried to kill his blood-kin, Jarek was desperate to find out any information on what may have happened to his sister and seemed determined to "rescue" her.

"Or so we think..."

"Hmm...the dragonborn went down?..." Gryffin blinked as the realization sank in.

Gryffin seemed too distracted by his own thoughts to be alarmed by the dragonborn's plight. While a part of his mind pondered the similarities between Jarek and Tsuto, another tried desperately to make sense of the appearance of "Sinspawn" --these creatures are supposed to have faded into legend and myth, and yet this creature in front of them and those pictured in his books were definitely one and the same.

"Well, we outnumber the creature five to one now -so panicking would really be...illogical..."

"Unless...there's more hidden in the shadows?"

Gryffin absently made a gesture and another bolt of silver light flew from his hand and struck the side of the Sinspawn's head. The bolt turned the side of the Sinspawn's already hideous visage into a mess of charred and smoking flesh.

"Hmmm..." Gryffin looked at the floor. He seemed looking for something.

A series of gestures later, A familiar phantom hand rose over Gryffin's shoulder holding a glowing object.

"at least this'll be able to sorta scout ahead...rather than a torch." Gryffin mumbled as he thought it.
