The sinspawn's poison coursed through my body, making me lethargic and halved my strength. There was no way I can hurt this monster with my condition. Desperately, I thought of another idea in order to contribute.
Using my reserves, I swung my axe threateningly in higher arcs close to the sinspawn's neck. Even though my attack was totally predictable, the monster reflexively raised its bloody arms upward in order to defend. That was the moment I was waiting for. I held the position of my axe firmly, locking its sharp claws high above it's head. It's body area was now open and vulnerable.
"Jarek! Chance! Now!" I shouted at our ranger whose bow was aimed neatly at the monster. The monster's primal brain registered the danger, and it retracted its claws from my axe, but it was too late. Two arrows stuck out of its chest as it growled in deep pain. It wasn't dead yet, but we could tell it was seriously wounded.
I let gravity crash my axe to the ground. I was huffing from the exertion. The monster's poison still affected my body, and I could just barely take up a defensive stance to brace for the monsters' counterattack.
