Guillaume: Into the Jaws of Darkness, Round 03

The dragonborn has fallen. The narrow corridor which was suppose to give us terrain advantage did not pose a problem at all as I watched in terror as one of the sinspawns clawed its way through up the walls. Frightened to my wits, I clung on to the only refuge available in this god-forsaken place. I must be brave. If I die today. I die with dignity. I was talking to myself. I will die fighting this evil.

"Quick! Help him?!" I awoke in my reverie realising that it was Lloyd talking sternly at me, panicked insistence painted on his face. "Do not just stand there?! Pray to whatever you hold sacred!" He nodded in earnest to point out Arao's moving corpse. Moving corpse? Arao IS still alive!!

"By Corellon! You are right" I was filled with hope. "Be healed of your wounds noble paladine. this I ask humbly of the Lord of all Fae and Master of Arcana" I chanted with gentle duress. Once again, Corellon's divine presence filled me with renewed courage and some of Arao's wounds disappeared.

The one on the wall approached me. It growled with distaste and eyed me with hatred. The illumination from the healing spell did little to discourage it. They were ferocious and determined. "Lord Corellon. Destroy our enemies. Begone spawns of Lloth!" (Guy figures that these ugly creatures must owe their existence from the greatest evil, the goddess Lloth)

Much to his surprise the creatures shrunk back against the holy light of Guy's spell. The creatures screamed as the spell's radiance bunred into their bodies.

Tears began to well in the eladrin's eyes as he saw the sinspawns cringe against the power of his deity.
