i see one of the goblins farthest to the east hurl a javelin. it gave an insidious laugh at the chaos it had brought. it was toying with us. blessed be corellon. at least this goblin appeared to be retreating. the more reason that i suspect that all this ruckus could just be a diversion of some kind. i quickly look back at the temple and wondered what was going on inside. stolen treasures maybe.
"flank!" i heard a singular and stern command in elven speak and then i realized that it was directed at me. it was the noble dragon born. he must have thought that i am an elf. a common mistake amongst peoples of this world for without question, we of the eladrin race are close cousins to the elves.
how i could miss this oppurtunity to indeed flank the goblin between me and the champion of pelor. but i could not ignore the imminent threat from the other goblin to my right. i had to make a quick decision. pray to corellon that it be the right one.
i shift forward to flank just as the noble dragon born had suggested.
i murmur a fervent prayer to corellon. a sudden blast of white radiance emanates from my torso from which the holy symbol of my deity lay.
::cast divine glow::
my eyes were shut from prayer but i felt one of the goblins fell from the burning light. i didnt mind taking the blows the goblins exacted at me for i had gained firm resolve.
i willed another prayer to put an end to the remaining goblin. ::cast
sacred flame:: confident. i open my eyes in triumph but i was met with
an angrier still living goblin. defendez-vous!
-
the goblin warrior was busy fighting with the big lizard man in front of it when it senses another presence behind it. it turned around just to be hit by a bright light that sears its eyes.
the pale skin is using magic. goblins have no use for magic.
it hears the pale skin murmuring once more so it takes a stab at it hoping to kill it before it could finish its magic. as soon as it turns its back on the paladin, however, another bright light hits the goblin sending into a frenzy. even in it's weakened state, it curses and snarls before it jumps and thrusts its spear deep into the pale skin's stomach.

ooc: situation check. now that it is weakened. and clearly outnumbered. i suggest we talk to it. we all have questions. hold it hostage. killing it wont give us answers of why this happened. letting it live might give us those answers. use Diplomacy (Cha) skill +8. no goblin language. goblin might not understand. try to tell the goblin to surrender and we will let it live. try to signal everyone to stand down / back off. need to convey to the the goblin intention.
