can u guys check this out? http://www.rpgtonight.com/index.htm it's a free virtual tabletop with dice, maps (incl. fog of war), and movable miniatures. no need to pay anything -- just register and play. also a gaming session is saved and open for 3 days, so pedeng balik-balikan.

i tried it and it seems ok. u can load a map (u can have a library of maps 4GB storage space), then place a lot of miniatures (again from a customized pool), and move them around the map.
there is also a chat window (rather archaic: u nid 2 press d Snd button to post ur chat), and a rather crude but working dice roller. there is no logs for the rolls however, so that's a pretty iffy issue. the dice roller is common to all the players connected to the game, so everyone can see anybody's last roll (incl. DM's). i don't think there's a way to hide the DM's roll.
well at least the chat window has a secret message feature, that allows the DM to whisper to a particular player only.
all of the miniatures can be moved by the DM. the players can only move their own.
eventually, this is just a plain tabletop. the tools are rather simple. there are no checks (i.e. how many squares a character can move). the character sheets are still in 3.5e (though i think they are starting to program for 4e). to be on the safe side, most of the tracking will still be done in real paper.
