Lloyd stepped into the room fully alert as Orik has warned them that Lyrie would be located in the temple. What he didn't expect was that Lyrie would be alert to their arrival. At first, the half-elf thought that it was probably a trap set up by Orik but the presence of the fiendish hounds in the room lent some explanation as to why they were alert.
Scanning thru the room Lloyd saw Lyrie perched towards the side of the altar and getting ready to pull out a wand. The three hounds were likewise on the run towards the entrance. Further into the temple room was Tsuto.
It took a second for the warrior to figure out the immenent threat to his group. The mage had to go down and he had to make way for the others if they were to avoid being picked off by their enemies.
"I see one mage north of us." Lloyd shouted back to warn his companions. "Some kind of three fiendish looking dogs to our right and Tsuto. I'm heading off to intercept the mage. You guys get in here as soon as you can!"
Running quickly into the room, Lloyd rushed the wizard. he drew both his short swords as he ran. He sped up on the stone bench behind the altar and jumped down towards the surprised mage. he brought down his twin swords as he did so and he managed to deal two deep cuts.
